Julianna Villarosa is a filmmaker, artist-activist, curator, and educator. Her work explores ecology, place, and human relationships with and to the environment. She is a MacDowell Fellow (2023), Iowa Arts Fellow (2018-2019), and Student Academy Awards semi-finalist (2019), and has received grants from the Eye Filmmuseum (2020), the Puffin Foundation (2021), and more. She holds an MFA in Film & Video Production from the University of Iowa and is now in post-production on her first feature documentary.
